Strategy & Tips

Grace is a pure sprint. Singles are often the fastest approach for most athletes - touch and go becomes inefficient as fatigue builds. Focus on efficient mechanics and quick resets.

  • Practice your clean and jerk cycling before attempting Grace
  • Singles with a quick reset (3-5 seconds) is often faster than touch-and-go
  • Use a hook grip throughout
  • Push jerk is typically more efficient than split jerk for cycling
  • Keep the bar close on the clean - don't let it swing away

Pacing

Go out hard but sustainable. Break into manageable sets mentally (3 sets of 10, or 6 sets of 5). Don't let fatigue slow your reset time.
