Strategy & Tips
Erin combines an uncommon lift—the split clean—with high-rep pull-ups. The split clean requires you to catch in a split stance, testing coordination and stability.
- Split cleans are typically done as singles for most athletes
- Alternate which leg goes forward each rep or each round
- Pull-ups will fatigue quickly—break into sets of 7 or smaller
- Recover during the transition between movements
- Maintain a consistent receiving position in the split
Pacing
Moderate pace on cleans with controlled singles. Don't rush the technique—a missed lift wastes more time than a controlled approach.
